Tarot by Sherita, The Dyslexic writer

Blog for December 15, 2000.

I haven’t blogged since my husband Norman died. I just didn’t feel like it. So today I have made a recommitment to blog.

When I started to blog it was about Tarot, mysticism, writing, maybe politics and dyslexia. I am going to continue until this idea.

The blog is Tarot by Sherita. I shall mention each day a tarot card.

The blog is about dyslexia. I shall talk about writing and dyslexia.

I am political and spiritual. Do they go together? I shall blog about them.

Remember I am dyslexic, beyond spell check I am helpless. Letters and numbers do not exist for me in the way they exist for you. So don't write about my mistakes. It upsets me.

Tarot card of the day: The Magician, from the Mother Peace deck.

Tarot cards have many different meanings based on what they are called, whether they are Major or Minor, the numbers on the various cards, the group they belong in and how they are laid down in the spread. All of which mean little to the Tarot reader. At least to this Tarot reader. When I read I see the scenes on the cards and they move around and around and show me visions. I see the aura of the person across from me, getting the reading. I see the Spirit Guides that surround them. My spirit guides speak to me. The person I am reading asks me questions. The answers come from Spirit guides, the cards, the universe, the cards speak to me, literally.
Having said that here is one of my interpretation of The Magician. She is a strong woman. She pulls the four directions together so that she can dance with fire within the protection of the directions she controls. She has a passion for life, love, adventure, sex and even the afterlife. She gives protection, great protection to the person receiving the reading. She gives you courage, happiness, skill to wander into the unknown. Confidence in yourself. She is my favorite card. When you are afraid think of the Magician. Her beauty, her strength, her power. Stop, breathe in three times, let your breath fill your body. Let it out slowly. Let the power and strength gather inside you and around you. Fill you with all the passion, protection, love and beauty of the universe. Dr. Deepak Chopra says always be in the NOW. The Magician will help you when you center down. What ever obstacle is in front of you is no longer impossible. If it were too hard for you to do, that obstacle would not be there. The Magician will help you accomplish it. But only if it is good for you to do. She will prevent you from doing evil. She can not help you accomplish pain or hurt or evil for others.
Take what ever you have to do one step at a time. You can do anything for a minute, then a day, then complete the project. You can be nice to those who treat you badly, thinking that you must love everyone because each of us is a part of the Universe and thus of God. However you perceive God or what name you call this Deity of Love. Let the Magician protect you and help you on your journey. Dr. Emmet Fox, my mentor, says we are bound to Love everyone because we are all one with Spirit. We don’t have to like them, but to Love them because they are part of us. The work Spirit gave us to do must be done with Love, because it is our work. Our Passion. The Magician will help us to the hard thing. Sometimes the hard thing is the right thing. I give you the Magician. Make good use of her and she will never let you down.

Thoughts of the day.

I kept a journal of sorts while I took care of Norman and from time to time I shall include them.

Christmas thoughts.
At Christmas the earth is farthest from the sun that warms it’s soul. So every religion, culture has some ceremony to honor the sun, Son, Goddess, nature. In olden days they lit Need Fires to bring back the Son. We have Hanukah, lights at sundown to celebrate the miracle of enough oil to concentrate the Temple. Christianity celebrates the birth of Christ with gifts of love for family and f friends., Navity scenes, singing, bringing in the evergreen tree, a symbol of everlasting life to the ancient Druids. And we put lights on it.

Norman Campbell, you are our Light. We still feel your love, your laugher leading us through the darkness. Part of those lights we will always carry with us to give us strength.

Let us remember there are people without food, clothing, shelter. Folks who lost jobs, houses, their investments for retirement because of the money changers in the temples of financial power. Did you read the Doonsberry comic about the what Jesus believed. “Doonsberry said Jesue was a man of love. He practiced love, he taught love. The only violent thing he ever did was to throw the Money Changers out of the temple” Jesus was a mad dude when he did that. We did to listen to that, take heed and practice that.

The new buy and sell local movement. Growing our own food, making do to save the planet from over use of oil, land and the money changers seems an easy way to accomplish this. It is especially excellent at Christmas, Solstice, Hanukkah.

Enjoy the Magician, Peace and the beauty of the earth and your power to keep it that way. Sherita
